Showers, storm chances linger ahead of nice and calm weekend across North Texas
After a record amount of rain on Memorial Day, the precipitation chances are starting to dwindle. An isolated storm and a few showers will be possible moving into Wednesday and Thursday.
Wednesday storms look to stay sub-severe, but an isolated stronger storm will remain likely in the afternoon.
Thursday, the Storm Prediction Center highlighted an isolated threat, level 1 out of 5, for severe storms across North Texas. A cold front will dip across the region, providing enough lift and tapping into enough instability to produce damaging winds and large hail.
Just in time for the weekend, the skies clear and the temperatures climb.
The warmth continues into the start of the next week with temperatures reaching in the 90s and winds gusting around 20 to 30 mph.
